Yamas! Gyros: Greek Street Food on the Move

Following in good company
Yamas! Gyros first approached us after seeing the vehicle branding we had completed for Jβs Fried Chicken. They were looking for the same end-to-end approach for their own catering vehicle, taking an existing vehicle and turning it into something that properly represented their brand wherever it went.
The Yamas! identity already had plenty of character to work with. The deep blue vehicle provided the base, with the branding built around their cream and bright blue colour palette, circular logo and Greek-inspired patterns.
As with any vehicle graphics project, we started by considering the vehicle itself rather than designing around a generic template. The catering body includes serving hatches, access doors, vents, wheel arches, panel joins and other fittings, all of which needed to be taken into account when developing the artwork.
The design was developed so those practical features became part of the layout rather than interruptions to it. Large sweeping graphics were used across the catering body, with repeating Greek-inspired patterns and the Yamas! roundel creating a consistent identity across both sides and the rear.
We also introduced supporting details including the social media graphics, the Yamas! branding on the cab doors and additional lettering across the front of the vehicle.
Alongside the vehicle graphics, we created a roof-mounted aluminium composite sign carrying the Yamas! Gyros name and Greek Style Street Food message. Positioned above the serving side of the vehicle, it adds another level of visibility and makes the business easier to identify when the vehicle is trading.

Designed around the vehicle
For the graphics, we again selected Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film, using precision-cut vinyl rather than relying on a fully printed wrap.
That choice suited the artwork particularly well. The cream and blue graphics could be produced as clean individual elements, allowing the original deep blue bodywork to form an important part of the finished design rather than covering it unnecessarily.
The scale of the graphics meant careful planning was needed before installation. The flowing linework moves across multiple body panels, doors and hatches, so positioning had to remain consistent even where the artwork crossed gaps, hinges and other fittings.
Particular attention was paid to the rear of the vehicle, where the pattern continues around the access door while keeping the Yamas! logo and social media details clear and easy to read. The same approach was carried through the sides, with the main brand mark sitting prominently within the larger pattern and smaller cab-door graphics tying the front of the vehicle into the overall scheme.
The aluminium composite roof sign was produced as a separate signage element and positioned above the catering body. Rather than treating it as an afterthought, its proportions and artwork were designed to work with the vehicle branding below, carrying the same typography, colours and visual identity.
Installation brought the individual elements together across the vehicle, with the graphics carefully fitted around the existing bodywork and catering features.
The result is a vehicle that still makes full use of its original blue finish while looking completely transformed. The cream and bright blue graphics create a strong contrast against the bodywork, while the Greek-inspired pattern gives Yamas! a distinctive appearance that can be recognised from a distance.
It was particularly rewarding to take on the project because Yamas! came to us after seeing another catering vehicle we had completed. Being trusted to apply the same level of thought and care to their own brand made this one a great follow-on project.
